Strategies
- The Desert Eagle can be useful in the early game due to its surprisingly high headshot damage, rivaling that of many early-tier weapons. It also has the sparse ability of ignoring armour.
- Being the strongest pistol it is the best pistol to use with Gunslinger.
- As for drawbacks, the Desert Eagle's most imperative upgrades (AP Rounds, Piercing Rounds, and Akimbo) are very expensive, costing as much as the gun itself. Additionally having only 1 AP Rounds upgrade means you can expect the Desert Eagle's lifespan to be relatively short.
- Its money multiplier is below average compared to other high headshot semi-auto guns (120% compared to 130% from DMR and Python).
- It is recommended to switch to a different gun once the Desert Eagle stops one-shotting zombies. (2 shot if utilizing skull combustion)
Trivia
- In real life, the IMI Desert Eagle is a semi-automatic handgun notable for chambering the largest centerfire cartridge of any magazine-fed sidearm. It has multiple variants, the one in Final Stand 2 most likely resembling the Mark XIX.
