Strategies[]
Mainly used in very early game farm money for early-midgame weapons, such as the Revolver and M93R.
- The Luger is great for saving for mid-game weapons, as it's cheap and viable with a lot of damage builds.
- On lower difficulties, it’s recommended to skip buying the Luger entirely and save up for Revolver or M93R, as there is sufficient revenue and you don't need as much damage compared to harder difficulties. However, if you are running Charged Shot, you can keep the Luger.
- The sights of this weapon are slightly lower than where the bullet actually fires. To get headshots, align your sights with the zombies’ necks instead of their heads at close range, and align your sights with their torso at long range.
- If you have max accuracy upgrades, then you will reach 100% accuracy. This means that your shot will be perfectly aligned with your crosshair, meaning that you don't need to do this.
- Be aware that Telescopic Sight is not locked after purchasing Akimbo thus it can still be bought but it provides no benefit as Akimbo will override the ability to ADS, thus making the scope useless.
- However, the scope will still allow it to be compatible with the No-Scope perk, even if Akimbo is purchased.
- Charged Shot is a great perk to use for the Luger! Because it has a cheap scope price of $3750 (weapon price + upgrade price) you can use it early-game to not only counter Armored Zombies, but also save a lot of ammo!
- If you're running an Assassin + Shadow Strike build, this is also great as it's range, combined with the fact you can fire slowly with Charged Shot, along with the cheap price, means you can get crits at basically any time.
- The Luger is a good option for normal crit builds, as it has built-in crit upgrades and doesn't need Weapon Hoarder to pair with Concealed Carry.
