The Laser Pistol is the cheapest laser weapon available, at $20,000. While it may seem to be little more than a noob trap (especially in Career Mode), it has a variety of earlygame (and with the right perk build, lategame) uses.

Strategies[]
- The Laser Pistol can be used in two ways: Normally shooting zombies, or triggering the Supernova perk.
Standard Shooting[]
- The Laser Pistol's unlimited ammo reserve can be utilized to consistently stay on the front line and hold off zombies for the entire wave.
- Always reload after shooting a burst, since you can cancel the reload when you want and the reload takes shorter when the Laser Pistol has more ammo in it.
- Upgrade AP Rounds whenever you can, and try to save up for Nitrogen Cooling for the upcoming boss waves.
Supernova[]
- As the cheapest and lightest heat weapon in the game, the Laser Pistol is a great candidate for the Supernova build, usually used for the Brawn Over Brains challenge.
- Bunch up zombies into a large crowd, then overheat your Laser Pistol to blast and burn all of them. In the early waves, you can then finish them off yourself, but in the lategame you’ll have to rely on your team.
- After blasting the zombies, run! Your team will handle the rest.
- DO NOT blast the zombies into your teammates! If you don’t think you can use Supernova without accidentally doing this, equip the Charmer perk so that the burning zombies will always go towards you.
- Effectively useless on Nightmare and above due to the speed of zombies and general lack of damage, even if it deals 50% wither, it is on a 8s cooldown and 1 beserker or long arm can easily kill you.
