Basics[]
The SCAR-H is the most expensive assault rifle, and the strongest one out of the bunch. It has a very high damage output, mediocre rate of fire, and the ability to have a scope and Pierce. The weapon itself is quite versatile, being able to be used for Medium - Long Range combat with its pierce. The weapon has to constantly reload due to its low magazine size, but it’s a fair trade as the weapon is capable of dealing really impressive damage and can have its headshot damage increased.
History[]
SCAR-H (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle-Heavy) is a gas operated battle rifle, designed by FN Herstal in 2004. It was originally intended to replace the M4A1 as the standard issue rifle used by SOCOM, following a USSOCOM solicitation for the rifle.
The SCAR-H uses a more lethal bullet, being chambered in 7.62x51mm NATO, as opposed to 5.56x45 mm NATO. Seeing as many members of the Armed Forces favored the higher caliber, it has been officially adopted by SOCOM under the designations of the MK 17, and it's precision rifle variant, the MK 20 SSR. It is a heavier, more powerful version of its lighter brother, the SCAR-L (the L standing for Light). Other family members include the:

Strategies[]
- Maximize SCAR-H's damaging capability by using damage based perks and mods.
- Stopping Power is a popular choice, due to having extra damage for all guns.
- To control the ammo expenditure, use Heavy Bullet perk or Heavy mods to focus on the gun's damage.
- If you are shooting from the roof with Scope, then Glass Cannon perk and Glass mods work well.
- Charged Shot perk can also be useful, especially with the SSR Kit upgrade, to snipe zombies, although the M82 does this as well.
- With Piercing Rounds upgrade and Deep Impact perk, this gun can have more than 200% pierce.
- With the addition of SSR Kit upgrade, this gun became a new meta weapon. The said upgrade turns this gun into pseudo-M82, with slightly less damage but with faster fire rate and more ammo on reserve.
- On Nightmare mode and above, SCAR-H without SSR Kit upgrade wont make it far due to its terrible DPS and its inability to kill specials between wave 11 - 14. However firerate perks could fix this, if you don't mind having to reload frequently.
PERKS TO CONSIDER(CRIT BUILD)
1. Heavy Rounds. Due to the slow fire rate of both the weapon and perk, this goes well with Critical Shock!
2. Critical Shock. Crits multiple zombies at once.
3. Weapon Hoarder(OPTIONAL) Decreases weapon weight, for use with Concealed Carry.

Trivia[]
- Despite being in the Assault Rifles section, the SCAR-H is considered a Battle Rifle.
- Buying the angled scope allows your ADS to toggle between scope and sight mode.
- With the addition of the SSR Kit upgrade, this gun is the weapon with the most upgrades, with a total of 9.
